Minister of Tourism Mohamed Zoheir Garana of Egypt

Tourism Minister Mohamed Zoheir Garana said Egypt has a plan to annually increase the number of visiting tourists by one million with the aim of creating 200,000 direct and indirect job opportunities.

While Garana says that Egypt has an advantage in these three respects, he acknowledges that the industry will still suffer.

Garana says that the government is cooperating with tour operators.

Garana said the abductors speak English with an African accent, but it is not yet known the location nor the nationality of the kidnappers.

Garana said the North Coast has potentials to become a recreational tourism hub.
